The New Rwanda flag was lifted for the first time on December 31, 2001, in hopes of promoting national unity, respect for work, heroism and self-assurance.
The three color stripes on the flag each have meaning. The blue represents happiness and peace. The yellow, symbolized economic development and the green, represents the hope of prosperity. At the same time also adopted a new national anthem, which also promotes national unity and peace. The sun with its 24 rays represents enlightenment.

Location: Rwanda is located on the heart of Africa landlocked by Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania and Uganda.
Altitude: The lowest point in Rwanda is 4000 feet (1,000 meters) above Sea level to the peak of,14,787 feet or 4507 meters about sea level, on Mt. Karisimbi.

This takes place once a month on the last Saturday of the month from 8AM – 11AM. At this time there is no driving allowed unless you are a tourist headed to one of the parks for a scheduled activity or on your way to participate in an Umuganda activity. All shops, banks, and businesses are closed during this time. If you need to be transferred during this time, we will take care that all details are in order.
